idiot...
The big one-six.

And I've got cramps from hell.

And not being able to do anything about it sucks.

Ew...

Do I seriously have to register for school?

I mean.

Seriously?

Ewwww......

I have this tendency to be really obnoxious.
I hope it's not pushing him away.
I forget about it sometimes.

Party!

Tosh, I'm going to that dance thing with Wes. That okay with you?

I'm on Saggitauron Eight right now.

I'd send a postcard but you wouldn't believe how much stamps cost out here.

Keep an eye out

[Dairine doesn't return home with Wesley after the trip to Titan. She goes planet-hopping instead, searching for familiar faces or the life-forms she'd come to recognize in her version of the universe. She only starts feeling guilty a few days later, because it's unfair to be angry at Tosh for this long. She sends her a message from one of the moons of Vega.]

Tosh

Just wanted to let you know I'm not dead or anything. I'm fine.

I'll be home back soon.

So. Uh. It seems like I owe a couple people an apology. Even though it wasn't my fault.

I'm sorry I told your computers to show alien programming. But hey, everything's a new experience. How'd you like those soaps? Isn't "Eons of our Lives" great? (Though I can see how you wouldn't be into grenfeltzing.)

Anyway, Doctor was nice enough to get me a place to stay with a really cool chick named Toshiko. She's kind of awesome. Truth be told, I'm kind of...glad...to have someone to stay with.

Richie! Let's totally take a trip somewhere again.

[private log. visible to Doctor & Tosh.]
I ran some diagnostics on Spot. He seems to be working just like normal again. I also figured out why I couldn't go home. Transit functions are normal, but the place I was attempting to go doesn't exist.

Well, no, it exists as a physical place, I should clarify, but the way the wizardry defines it, it's not Home. Not my home at least. I can travel within this universe, Spot says the parameters are the same (took Richie to the Moon a few days ago) but I can't go home.

Take a look at my name in the manual's directory (wizard phonebook):

CALLAHAN, Dairine E. 243 E. Clinton Avenue, Hempstead, NY 11575 (516) 555-6786
Journeyman Rating (RL +6.2/-.2) Out of Ambit

See that? "Out of Ambit." It doesn't say I'm on assignment. It means I'm not in my universe. It means I can't contact home. I have no way of knowing how fast or how slow time is going in this universe compared to mine. Even if it seems normal. I hate not-knowing. I hate feeling like I've fallen off the face of the Earth.

Okay. I'm stuck?

SERIOUSLY?

Anyway! Yo! Dairine here. (It’s pronounced “Dare-REEN” so don’t screw it up!) So I guess I’m the new kid in town. Been browsing your forums and I’m getting the impression that not a lot of you guys have been able to get out of here, huh?

[private]It’s like some kind of exocontinual pocket in space and time. But in Canada? Spot seems just as confused as I am. Have you ever seen a wizard’s manual – or a laptop, for that matter – act confused? It’s kind of scary. He's molting.[/private]

Well, no worries! I’ve totally got this. In the meantime, if you want to chat or if you’ve got a computer that’s misbehaving, just call me up here and I’ll get to you ASAP.
